It is a sad message.
• Alzheimer’s disease is not only a disease of the elderly but that it can begin in one’s 40’s;
• Alzheimer’s disease is not about forgetfulness but a disease of the brain that takes away what we take for granted, making simple tasks of every day life impossible;
• Alzheimer’s disease is fatal and that mourning for the person that they once were is a feeling that both the person affected and their family and caregiver experience throughout the continuum of the disease.
