One of the few Canadian companies promoted during Premier Dalton McGuinty's mission trip to China in 2008, Cross-Cultural Biz has served companies and individuals locally and internationally.
Kathy Keyi Jia M.A. is the founder and owner of Cross-Cultural Biz. As a specialist, Kathy has been interviewed by Radio Canada International (the CBC), Rogers TV, and OMNI TV on "Business Tips for a Multicultural Canada", “Our New Training Programs”, and “Chinese Business Culture and Etiquette” (See www.crossculturalbiz.com.).
Kathy has worked in China and Canada in a variety of fields including teaching (University of Toronto, Seneca College, and Jiamusi Teachers' University, China), journalism (for CBC NewsWorld International and Radio Canada International), and business. As a Professor at Seneca College, she developed and taught Cross-Cultural Communication course, as well as International Trade, Intercultural Business Communication, and Business Communication.
An award winning speaker, Kathy is currently an Area Governor of Toastmaster International (AL, ACG). Kathy has served on the executive of Richmond Hill Intercultural Committee. She is also on the roster of experts of Human Resources Professional Association.
