The Beatle Bandit - an online program offered by the Library

Join journalist and author Nate Hendly for a true crime talk inspired by his award-winning book, The Beatle Bandit.

Uncover the story of a navy vet who robbed Toronto-area banks in the early 1960s to finance a one-man revolution, sparking a nationwide debate about guns, insanity pleas, and the death penalty.

This program will be done through Zoom, a free video conferencing software for tablets, smartphones and computers.

About the Speaker:

Nate Hendley is a Toronto-based journalist and author. He has written several books, primarily in the true-crime genre. Nate’s latest book, The Beatle Bandit, won the Crime Writers of Canada Award of Excellence for Non-Fiction 2022 and was nominated for a Heritage Toronto Book Award. Learn more here:
