Compassionate York Region May Meeting

Compassionate York Region is looking forward to continuing to enhance the narative of compassion.

What is Compassionate Community York Region?  It is a grassroots organization, that began about a year ago, that is set on weaving compassion into the social fabric of the community. It is part of The Charter for Compassion, an international movement  to spread the co-creation of compassion. They have been having bi-monthly on-line meetings including people from across the globe.

  1. Presentation on the Mapping Project
    To simplify connections between compassionate people, we are launching a movement to make everyone anonymously visible to each other on the Map of Co-creators ( We have been selected to do beta testing for this project.  We'll tell you more!
  2. Kim Fluxgold talking about what compassion means to her
    Author of "Where did Mommy's Smile Go" and a mental health advocate
  3. "Happy to Chat" Bench
    CYR has applied for a Quick Action Grant from CAMH-YR to have a designated Happy to Chat bench.  Councillor Raika Sheppard will join us in telling you about this initiative.
  4. Peaceful Picnic at the grounds of L'Arche Daybreak - June 14
    We'd like to have the opportunity for some of us to be in the same space .
    Pack a lunch and join us at L'Arche Daybreak.
