The Oak Ridges Lions Club has organized a toy donation drive for Southlake POGO (Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario).
September is Childhood Cancer Month and we would like to honour that by helping them stock their shelves with toys. The toys brighten the days of children who are receiving treatment.
The need for toys is greater than ever since, due to COVID, toys cannot be shared and therefore they go home with the child. This means that there is always a need to replenish the toys.
Lions, with the support of Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF), provide support for the needs of children and families affected by childhood cancer through impactful service activities. Oak Ridges Lions Club - Lions e-Clubhouse
This in-person drop off donation drive on September 23rd, 2 to 4 pm, is at the Royal Bank in Oak Ridges, 12935 Yonge Street.
As well as this one day event to drop off toys there has also been an ongoing collection of toys at Code Ninjas locations. In Richmond Hill their location is at 20 Vogell Rd.
