Stan Daneman has launched his third campaign to bring in food and new clothing items for 360kids. This shelter provides a critical service to the homeless kids from York Region. Not only does 360kids provide a daily shelter for the kids but feeds and provides other services to those that drop into Home Base on Yonge Street. www.360kids.ca
It is the case that in the winter many kids are outdoors without food and without clothing such as scarves, gloves or a winter jacket. Some kids must sleep in the snow as the shelters are full.
Stan's campaign is to bring in food items and new clothing for our kids. These kids are the adults and leaders of tomorrow. An investment in our kids is an investment in our future society.
The first campaign brought in 8050 items, the second campaign brought in 10960 items. Let's see us do even better this third time!
The items required include the following:
- Instant hot chocolate, soups and noodles ( tip - best source is Costco)
- Instant oats ( tip - Loblaws sells boxes of 10 for $2)
- Granola bars
- Cereal ( any kind)
- Pasta sauces
- Large bags of rice
- Cans of tuna
- Cans of stew
- TV dinners
- Toiletries (i.e. soap, shampoo, bodywash, deodarant, feminine hygienne products)
- New hats, scarves, gloves ( no used clothing)
