Pay Parking for the Park and Community Centre Starts April 1

Pay Parking at Lake Wilcox Park is in effect from April 1 until September 30 each year. Richmond Hill residents can get a free parking permit online at Parking.RichmondHill.ca.

Lake Wilcox Park is one of Richmond Hill’s six Destination Parks, attracting visitors from Richmond Hill and across the GTA for its unique combination of beautiful waterfront scenery and family-friendly amenities. In 2020, the City implemented pay parking to help ensure visitors from outside Richmond Hill contribute to park monitoring and maintenance.

Parking for non-residents and those without permits costs $4 per hour at the Oak Ridges Community Centre, the skate park and the north gravel lots and $5 per hour at the main/splash pad lot.

To help manage traffic and parking in the surrounding area, carpooling is strongly encouraged.

In addition, from April 1 through September 30:

  • Weekend parking on the streets neighbouring Lake Wilcox Park is restricted to residents and their guests with a permit.
  • Permit parking is in effect seven days a week on Bayview Park Lane, the west end of Dariole Drive and Sandbanks Drive.
  • Street Parking Permits were mailed to residents who live in the area in early 2020. If you have lost your permit or are new to the neighbourhood, you can call the City’s Parking team at 905-771-8860 or email [email protected] to receive a permit.
