The City of Richmond Hill is finalizing its Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Strategy, which will guide the City’s approach to implementing public EV charge stations at City-owned facilities like municipal buildings, parks, community centres, libraries and more.

The EV Charging Strategy will define the City’s role in supporting the shift to electric mobility and guide the rollout of charge stations for EVs and consider charging recommendations for e-bikes and e-scooters.
The development of a public charge station network aims to reduce emissions from personal vehicles, the dominant mode of travel in Richmond Hill today.
