City of Richmond Hill Community and Cultural Grants Available

less than 1 minute

Applications due April 3rd

These grants are for individuals or organizations that are eager to host an event or develop a project to reflect the many cultural traditions or practices of Richmond Hill.

The City funds programs, projects and events across the city that showcase our city’s community’s spirit.

Past projects have included concerts, art exhibitions, a youth-hosted charity basketball tournament, as well as the creation of a community garden.

Grants of up to $5,000 are available in two streams:

  1. Community Projects – In areas such as social services and health, recreation and/or the environment.
  2. Cultural Projects – In areas such as the performing arts (theatre, dance, music), visual arts, literary media arts, textile, craft, heritage and/or community arts.

Applications are due April 3 and are evaluated through a committee (staff and citizens) based on criteria outlined in the program application and guidelines.

Applicants are encouraged to attend  (via Zoom) a March 12th, 7 p.m information session. This session will discuss program streams, eligibility requirements, project funding criteria, application steps and more. RSVP to register and receive the registration link to Leanne at [email protected]
