less than 1 minute

These are a real opportunity to be civically engaged.

The Richmond Hill Community Council Meetings led by Richmond Hill MP Majid Jowhari have resumed this fall.

These Councils consist of Richmond Hill residents, key community leaders, Richmond Hill’s passionate advocates, and everyone who wants their voices to be heard.

The purpose is to facilitate a conduit between the community of Richmond Hill and the federal government.

These meetings allow are federal representative, Majid Jowhari  to hear our voices on the main challenges facing our riding.

There are  five topics that Majid has identified as the most important to the Richmond Hill residents:

  1. Health
  2. Affordability
  3. Small Business
  4. Environment
  5. Seniors

Council members will have the opportunity to share feedback on federal initiatives, discuss policies, upcoming legislation, and programs that will impact Canadians and most importantly what we can do as a community to thrive and grow locally. Council members will also have the opportunity to write letters on behalf of the community to federal Ministries advocating for legislation they believe will immensely impact the wellbeing of Richmond Hill.

All meetings are on Zoom and are on Wednesdays at 6 pm.

Here is the schedule:

  • November 2 - Affordability
  • November 9 -Seniors
  • November 16 -Health
  • November 23 -Environment
  • November 30 -Small Business

These are non-partisan meetings.
