About Garden Sunshine
- Naming rights obtained from hybridizer, Brad Jalbert’s Select Roses, in honour of our society’s 100th anniversary in 2014
- Described by Mr. Jalbert as a very desirable bright yellow (“like sunshine in a plant”), a fragrant, modern shrub rose; vigorous, hardy and resistant to black spot; thriving both in the ground and in containers; growing to a height of about two feet, and blooming from spring until frost
- Grown at Palatine Fruit & Roses in Niagara-on-the-Lake
- The Royal Botanical Garden’s new Rose Garden, opened to the public in 2018, features a beautiful grouping of Garden Sunshine specimens
