To commemorate Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Richmond Hill, the City has two events planned for Monday, September 29, 2025:
1 - Every Child Matters Flag Raising at City Hall, (225 East Beaver Creek Road) 9:00 am, September 29, 2025

2 - Waterway Signage Unveiling at Lennox Park, (176 Palmer Avenue)- Ceremony starts at 10:30 am, September 29, 2025.
There will be Ojibway names for the rivers flowing through Richmond Hill — the Humber, Don and Rouge.
The event will take place near the playground and bridge. Street parking is available on Lennox Avenue, Palmer Avenue, and Cedar Avenue:
Additional parking will be available in the Harding Park parking lot -277 Cedar Avenue, which is a short 5-minute walk away from unveiling site, located at the south end of Cedar Avenue.
