The Men’s Breakfast is a time of fellowship and camaraderie for all. Please invite a friend or two to come with you!
Coffee, tea and conversation will begin at 8:00 am followed by a hot breakfast at 8:30 am.
After breakfast Myles O'Brien is the guest speaker. Myles' presentation topic is "Local Food Matters". Have we lost our connection to food? And why does it matter? Explore the evolution of our relationship to food, and why growing and eating local foods may matter more now than ever. Learn how current and future initiatives in our community can create a more resilient and sustainable food system.
Myles O'Brien works on sustainability issues for the City of Richmond Hill and as a volunteer in Stouffville, where he lives with his wife and kids. His graduate research explored food as a connector between people and their environment. Since then, Myles has been involved in various local food initiatives, including farmers markets, organic farms, and community gardens.
Cost: $10. Please RSVP Harry Ramsaran ([email protected] or at (647) 389-4758 by Thursday, September 17th.
