In this Long & McQuade Richmond Hill sponsored workshop you will listen to author David W Barber talk about composers such as Schumann, Tchaikowsky, Beethoven and Rachmanninov. What mental health challenge or illness did they have? How did it affect their music and lives? How could their lives have been diferent if they lived today?
Not only will you have the opportunity to ask questions, you will also be able to purchase your very own copy of Barber's famous 'Bach, Beethoven & the Boys' adapted to High Notes Avante and renamed "We All Have A Story" . You can pre-order with your free ticket.
To make this workshop even more special Ella Poret of the North York Music Festival has recruited some young performers to give us musical examples in between the talking.

This is the 7th in High Notes Avante's series of nine free arts workshops designed to foster connection among individuals impacted by mental illness.
Open to anyone age 12 and older, each workshop stands on its own, allowing participants to attend the sessions that best fit their schedules and interests.
The workshop is funded by an Ontario Trillium Foundation Trillium grant.
