Discover the timeless beauty of Najeonchilgi – the traditional Korean art of mother-of-pearl inlay. In this beginner-friendly workshop, artist-instructor Kay Lee introduces you to this centuries-old cultural artform, where iridescent pieces of mother-of-pearl are delicately inlaid onto lacquerware to create shimmering, intricate designs.
This session blends Korean heritage with a modern twist, inviting you to design and craft elegant keepsakes such as keychains, bookmarks, brooches, pins, or coasters using safe, non-toxic, low-odor UV resin and LED curing lamps.
All tools and materials provided upon payment of Materials Fee to instructor at workshop.
Students have their choice between two Materials Kit options – a $15.00 kit includes all core materials needed to complete the project. $20.00 kit includes additional premium-quality nacre and materials.
