Richmond Hill United Church Saturday Breakfast begins with Coffee, Tea & Conversation at 8:00 am.
Followed by a continental breakfast at 8:30 am.
After the breakfast there will be a talk by Professor David Leyton-Brown and Professor D.J McCready - they discuss the Canada U.S. trade relationship.
Amid the ever-changing political scene in Washington, and the claims that the US economy is stronger than it has ever been, we do know about GDP growth, unemployment, and inflation, and can make projections about the likely future based on that data. We also know about the tariffs President Trump has put in place (against the advice of almost all economists), and the upcoming review of the Canada-US-Mexico Trade Agreement (known in the US as USMCA). Thus we can make economic and political predictions about the implications for Canada of current and possible future developments in the US.
All are welcome.
Cost: $10/person
Kindly RSVP to Harry Ramsaran at [email protected] or (647) 389-4758 by Thursday, January 8th.
