Event Location:

Did you know that every 3 minutes, someone in Canada is diagnosed with diabetes?

When you live with diabetes, you’re never off the clock. It’s a continuous cycle that demands time, attention, and energy. People living with diabetes are 2–3x more likely to experience depression.

This November, let’s make time to understand and support those living with diabetes every single day.

Join the Oak Ridges Lions Club and Chartwell Oak Ridges for an evening to “Change the Conversation about Diabetes.”

Learn about:

  • the myths and misconceptions around diabetes
  • tools, resources, and supports available
  • how to stop the stigma faced by people living with diabetes

Light refreshments will be served.

Lions Clubs International has adopted diabetes as one of its global causes for action.  Around the world, Lions Clubs are working to reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve the quality of life for those living with Diabetes. Education is key. Lions Diabetes

The Oak Ridges Lions Club is proud to be part of the global effort to raise awareness about diabetes and how it impacts people and families.  By taking the time to share knowledge about diabetes in our community, we believe we can all help “change the conversation about diabetes”.
