When we listen to nature, we hear trees rustling, rain falling, bees buzzing, clatter of thunder and lightning, waves crashing, or the roar of fire. When composers listen to nature, they hear these sounds, but they also hear music! From the Baroque to the 21st Century, many composers have found inspiration by the sounds and power of water.
H2O features a wonderful program of music that describes mesmerizing offerings of water like dramatic storms at seat, rivers, lakes, oceans, fountains, and even mythical water creatures. We promise that nobody will go home thirsty this evening!
