Connecting the Community Meeting - Let Eloquence But Speak

Event Date:
Tuesday, April 21, 2026 - 9:45am to 11:15am

Mark McAlister is the presenter, and reciter.

For this Connecting the Community event, the word is being spread far and wide. Well, it is being included in the OnRichmondhill.com newsletter.  :)

Connecting the Community has been meeting for more than 15 years.  It has morphed over time.  Currently the meetings are at the Central Library (2nd floor, Meeting Room A).  They are open to anyone who would like to connect the community.  There is a presenter each week, and that guides the discusssion.

This week, one of the regulars, Mark McAlister, in honour of poetry month, will recite some of the highlights of one of his favourite and foundational books of poetry, "Let Eloquence But Speak".

Mark will invite conversation with these two questions:

  • How does this poetry "speak" to you?
  • Does it still have meaning in these postmodern times?

If you've not attended before, or its been quite a while, please let Marj Andre, CTC's facilitor, know that your coming. [email protected]
