Ukrainian singer-songwriter and bandura virtuoso Maryna Krut (KRUTЬ) brings a striking blend of contemporary indie-folk, jazz-inflected songwriting, and the ancient sound of the Ukrainian bandura, which is a 65-string instrument known for its luminous, harp-like resonance. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, her music has transformed into a poignant form of witness.
Performing both on international stages and along the front lines for soldiers, Krut channels personal loss, resilience and national memory into performances that are intimate, powerful, and deeply human.
